Iran

It's a great shame that the news about Venezuela has eclipsed the news about Iran. Not that MSM has given much attention to the people rising up against the mullahs even before Trump's actions in Venezuela. The only point that seems to have been covered in the British press were Trumps comments. Nothing about supportive protests here in London outside the Iranian Embassy yesterday.

I pick up most news stories from BBC World Service, Channel 4 tv news, Euronews and Deustche Welle online. I always find adequate coverage there and would recommend these to others.

It is only now (yesterday) that MSM covered it at all. My journalist cousin (who writes extensively on the ME) began writing about it a week ago and attended the demo outside the Iranian Embassy on Saturday that no TV or newspaper covered. Has the government made any comment?

Nothing about supportive protests here in London outside the Iranian Embassy yesterday'.Yes, how different the coverage to the pro-Palestine marches last year.I think this reflects the Islamophilia that pervades most media and many political attitudes currently.Even the actions of an appalling theocratic Islamic regime in Iran are brushed under the carpet whilst all opprobrium is directed at Israel.
