Of course, Mr Hawkes, you know I was being succinct saying Greenland was part of Denmark. Yes, it was previously a Danish colony but is now a self governing area with responsibility for internal affairs, whole Denmark has responsibility for international matters. (I suppose a bit like the Falkland Islands and the UK, or the French overseas territories that aren't external departments? I guess it all is a hangover from Europe's imperial past. Let's face it a lot of the modern USA is former colonies of Europe.)
