Trump says ‘crazy’ Netanyahu has made everyone hate Israel in furious phone call

In the Independent (and many others) "Donald Trump lashed out at Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an expletive-laden phone call over Israel’s continued strikes in Lebanon on Monday, according to US media reports. The US president was reportedly furious after Iran threatened to suspend peace talks with the US over Israel’s strikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon, telling the Israeli prime minister that “everybody hates Israel” because of his actions."But of course:-"In his public remarks after the two leaders spoke, Trump announced that a partial truce had been agreed between Israel and Hezbollah and that the call had been “very productive”."And yet:-"But behind closed doors Trump is said to have yelled at Netanyahu over the phone, calling him “f****** crazy”, Axios reported late on Monday, citing two unnamed US officials familiar with the call.“You’re f****** crazy. You’d be in prison if it weren’t for me. I’m saving your a**. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this,” Trump said, according to a US official’s summary of the remarks.Another source who briefed Axios about the call said Trump was “p***ed” and at one point yelled at Netanyahu: “What the f*** are you doing?”Trump’s intervention came after Israel expanded its ground operations in southern Lebanon. Israel and Hezbollah agreed a fragile ceasefire in mid April, but the militant group resumed attacks after Israeli strikes in Lebanon that Israel characterised as self-defence."It is quite something to watch world class bullshitters at the peak of their performative game. It's like 1960s TV wrestling matches, but one still watches it.------------------------------------"Israeli drone strikes in southern Lebanon on Tuesday killed eight people, including a father and his son and daughter, a day after US President Donald Trump said Israel and Hezbollah agreed to dial back fighting."

Mr Ainsworth'In the Independent (and many others) "Donald Trump lashed out at Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an expletive-laden phone call over Israel’s continued strikes in Lebanon on Monday, according to US media reports.'Think of your pension. You could have said that this was similarly reported by your old employer the Guardian where your antisemitism and anti-Americanism daily run riot.'It is quite something to watch world class bullshitters at the peak of their performative game'.And how you seem to relish the carnage that is the Middle East conflict as it gives you the opportunity to attack Israel and hence express your antisemitism and your condescending hatred of the USA.And you seem to soon have forgotten what occurred when Israel was attacked by Palestinians in October 2023."Small earthquake in Peru: not many dead" in your Guardianista view I have no doubt. And no mention of course of the never ending wars and atrocities happening in Africa.https://www.wionews.com/photos/from-sudan-to-somalia-top-9-african-nations-still-fighting-deadly-wars-in-2025-1762188679659'Africa remains home to several deadly and persistent wars that continue to reshape its political and humanitarian landscape. While the exact number fluctuates, over 15 African countries have experienced active armed conflicts, with sources like the Geneva Academy reporting more than 35 non-international armed conflicts (NIACs) across the continent in recent times. From the deserts of Sudan to the jungles of the Congo, conflicts driven by power struggles, ethnic divisions, and extremist insurgencies continue to devastate millions of lives'.Many of these driven by extreme Islamism with no Jew or American involved. Then of course there is the aggression of China and Russia towards its neighbours. From you, silence. You give the impression of being a one trick pony when it comes to pointing out, with no meaningful balance and analysis, solely the actions of Israel and the US.I wonder why.Your back articles on world affairs must make very predictable reading.
