Difficult one, Ivonne. As a Londoner the Thames certainly has its attractions but I think the Seine has its charms and has avoided the modern high rise developments that now border large parts of the Thames.

I agree with you Michael. I always think of the Thames from Putney to Oxford and beyond. I very rarely go to the East of London so do not associate it with the stretch I so enjoy........ The main reason for this is exactly as you describe, the modern high rise developments have really spoilt the area. So, using your friend's term, I am picky with my choices! :-)
