Great River Race tomorrow

High Adam  my other half rowed in the great River race for about 9 yrs. With some of the Putney Builders. They rowed in a steel life boat several times, a skiff 2 times and gig. Also it used to go the otherway round from Ham to Poplar, I went on the large boat with other wives to Poplar for a big party in their club with a band and disco. Even got certificates.

Hi Barbara, my friend from the Isle of Wight is rowing in a 6 woman gig. I doubt they'll have the energy for a post row disco!

Good Luck hope they do well, bit of a journey rowing from Poplar to Ham. They will probably need a drink after that. I said to the Captain of the boat the women were on do you go all the way. His reply was I do my best these days. I'm good at putting my foot in it. Bit of a walk under the Thames at Greenwich has anybody else done it.
