Putney Bridge, Lower Richmond Road works.

Anyone else find it astonishing that a minority of 1,381 car driving protesters (Putney Action Group) have pressured the cash strapped WBC to find the estimated half a million pounds required to make it more difficult for pedestrians to cross at Putney Bridge?

I read somewhere that there are still hopes that those pods for transporting pedestrians over Hammersmith Bridge will be considered.  This - should it happen - might help to reduce some of the pressure on Putney Bridge.It isn't always very democratic the way that lobbying by various groups happens but there are different groups needing to cross and there should always be the vision of option of better changes for the future.
