Steven'I am not sure whether 'Some Like it Hot' is the best film ever, but it's still brilliant.'I can't think of a funnier comedy, though the master of bad taste Mel Brooks' 'Blazing Saddles', where a gay, black sheriff is appointed in a typical butch cowboy town comes close.Pre-woke times of course !My favourite line in SLIH is when Jack Lemmon dressed as a woman to escape the mob finally admits to his 'fiancé', stage door johnny Joe E Brown that he is a man, and receives as a reply the film’s exemplary last line, “Well, nobody’s perfect.”
